We’re ‘hear’ to help protect employee hearing

If you no longer hear the bells on Santa’s sleigh or his approach across your roof, it may not be an issue of whether you believe in the old man. You may just have hearing loss.

Loss of hearing, in fact, is the third most common chronic physical health condition among adults, after high blood pressure and arthritis, reports the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Among those with hearing difficulty, occupational exposures are the cause for one in four people. About 22 million workers are exposed to hazardous noise on the job each year.

As an employer, you are required to assess your employees’ hearing annually and educate them in hearing conservation. Our team of CAOHC-certified hearing conservationists can help you safeguard your employees’ hearing and comply with all regulations.

We also can help you identify places at your worksite that have dangerous noise levels so you can safeguard employees with proper hearing protection.

Our audio bus

OCCMed Jackson’s state-of-the-art audiometry bus can roll into your parking lot to take care of your OSHA-required hearing conservation training and test 10 people at a time every 20 minutes.
